Introduction
Welcome to the ADHD blog. To make a long explanation short, I'll be talking about a couple of things in here.
First of all, you'll be reading about the last few year of my life as a step-dad to (as of 2006) a 13 year old boy who suffers from ADHD (and a few others things, as you'll learn as read this). The accounts are all true and vary from the mundane to the hard to believe. You'll also be treated to my thoughts about the recounted events as well as the occasionnal theory.
I'll also be commenting on various news found in the media that relate to ADHD. I've been reading all sorts of articles over the past few years, some good, some awful. I've developped a healthy need to vent (and sometimes praise), hopefully I can do this while being interesting.
As you can see, you can leave comments for any posts on this site, so please feel free to share your thoughts. I've learned through the years that parents of children with ADHD often feel isolated. Maybe this site will help some of you understand that you are far from being alone with your child.
Finally, please note that I am in NO WAY a professionnal or expert of any sort in relation to ADHD. I'm a parent (well, step-parent), trying to help a child grow while keeping some of my sanity intact.
Thank you for reading this blog. I'm sure you'll find it interesting.
